The tram is mostly used by the locals in Byåsen and it makes it easy to reach the popular area of Bymarken. Digital payments are most in use for public transport - you can purchase both pass and single fares via the AtB mobile app. The international Trondheim Airport is located in Sjørdal with direct connections to cities such as Copenhagen, Stockholm London and Amsterdam.
